R.I.P. Whitey McWhiterson

Rest in Peace. Shawn's favorite fish (the white butterfly Koi) expired on friday evening. I got a phone call at work friday night that all 3 Koi were not looking good. He tried everything he could but we lost Whitey, Butch jr. and Oreo. We still have no idea what happened all 20 of the goldfish survived, we are baffled could it have been a water imbalance or maybe it was the D-Con our neighbor sprinkled in his shed and the poisoned mouse fell in to the pond. These 3 have been with us for over a year and will be missed. Oh yeah this was Shawn's worst week ever,After this happened he went to McDonalds to find his alltime favorite spicy chicken sandwhich is no longer on the menu. Needless to say Shawn was reluctant to go to work today.

My Little Fishermen

Happy 4th of July to everyone. Grandpa Don took the boys fishing in the Cheboygan river this weekend and Zack caught this fish I am not sure what it is I will have to ask my dad. They are quite proud of it and by the sounds of it they are going to be great fishermen.

Our Pond

These are some recent pictures of our pond and new fence. I 'll give all the credit to Shawn he put up the entire fence all by himself, and he basically maintains the pond with the exception of the plants. That is my department.

Summertime Chowhounds
